Estella and Cordelia: Our nine-month-old girls

We recently celebrated Estella's and Cordelia's three-quarters-of-a-year birthdays! Our babies are becoming little girls right before our eyes.

Here is a series of pictures to see how much our little girls have grown in the past nine months.

Both babies have grown so much -- both physically and developmentally -- in the past month! Estella is determined to move like a big kid. She wants to crawl, to climb up on things, and to reach all of her big sister's toys, despite Adelaida's best efforts to keep them away from her. Estella likes to eat and loves finger-foods, mostly because she can squish them between her fingers and smear them in her hair! Meal time with Estella is always messy. Cordelia can army-crawl now and is as fast as Estella. Both of the girls enjoy crawling over Adelaida and over each other. Cordelia has also discovered babbling this month. She makes the most beautiful little baby babbling sounds! I just love to hear her talk. She enjoys eating finger foods as well, but not nearly as much as Estella likes them. About half of the time Cordelia eats the finger foods and half of the time she very deliberately picks up the food off her tray and drops it on the floor. Meal time with Cordelia is also a very messy event. More than anything else, both Estella and Cordelia love Adelaida. Their big sister can always make them happy and make them laugh, and I rely on Adelaida for help quite often!
